Night Owl
Here it is 3am on a Thursday, and I find myself looking up properties and emailing leads.
I often feel like I'm the only person who is up working at this time. Then, out of the blue, I get an email from someone interested in one of my properties. Naturally I email them back immediately, and they are always surprised. "Wow, i didn't expect you to get back to me so fast," is something I hear a lot. But if I'm up, I will always answer my phone, Skype, text, email, etc. Ive had clients email at 2am, I went and showed them the house at 9am, and had the deal done by noon. Had I not been up, who knows how many other Realtors that person would have contacted. I have clients that frequently text me at 12,1 and 2am, and if I'm up, I will answer them.
I seem to get a lot of work down at these early hours. The TV isn't on, my other half and my dogs are fast asleep, and I don't have much to distract me. I would say these are some of my most productive hours. And I always wonder if I'm in the minority. Ive sent offers at 3am for a home for sale, and the agent said she was not going to look at an offer sent at 3am. LOL, I asked her, "and why not?" She said she wouldn't take something serious sent at that hour because people don't work that late. I was amazed. So I sent the email again the next afternoon and got her to look at it.
They say the early bird catches the worm, but I'm not sure if I'm the Early Bird, or just a Night Owl, I guess I'm good with both.
